Well Aware provides water to Daaba, Kenya.
THIS PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN LOVING MEMORY OF PATT CHRISTOPHER.

We are honored to be a part of completing this life-saving water system in loving memory of Patt Christopher.

In Well Aware's collaborative endeavor with the successful Nobelity Project, repaired and equipped a borehole at the primary school for consumption and initiated the reconstrucion of school houses, construction of a library and installation of internet and solar energy.

The school children, the comunity and all of their livestock (their livlihood) once retrieved water from a highly contaminated and dangerour hand-dug water hole- the only water source for miles around.  The children were forced to climb down into the hole to spend hours pulling buckets of dirty water out for their famlies.  The old well took innocent lives.  The only other option for water was a stagnant collection that is several kilometers away.

The new water system at Daaba will enable children to attend class instead or retrieve water form this lethal hole- or walk for hours each day to other wtaer sources.  We expect the attendance at the school to also increase by at least 300%.  The govenrment will staff a school with a safe water supply, so additional teachers will be provided.  Clean water and education will save lives and give these beautiful children the future they deserve.
