To add capacity and access to clean, sustainable water with community education and involvement to support current and future needs in east Africa.
Who We Are
We founded Well Aware in June of 2006 to facilitate the fundraising for and the construction of drought relief projects in East Africa. We are working intensively with our communities abroad and other state-side nonprofits to affect a realistic plan for change. The communities we are able to assist are also fully invested in helping us help them. See our Community Selection Criteria.
We are a grassroots organization. 100% of our public donations goes directly to drought relief. The few admin epenses we do incur are funded by private donations, sponsorships or product sales. Well Aware is presently growing to facilitate larger fundraising effforts to be able to serve a greater number of suffering communities, as well as implementing nonprofit and NGO team work to address the true needs of the individuals we aid.
